Possible Applications
In high-speed assembly cells where cycle times drop below two seconds, every gripper finger must close and release with absolute repeatability. The compact gripper sits at the end of a SCARA or delta robot, its lightweight jaws picking injection-molded connectors, micro-mechanical housings, or tiny electronic sensors from a vibrating feeder bowl. Once the part is centered between the fingers, the gripper’s internal actuator clamps it with just enough force to prevent slippage during rapid acceleration, yet not so much that delicate plastic or thin-walled metal components deform. The entire unit is bolted directly to the robot flange, eliminating extra brackets and reducing tool-changer mass, which in turn allows higher accelerations without overshooting the target position. On automated test stations, the same gripper transfers circuit boards between inspection nests, where its consistent closing force ensures that contact pads remain undamaged while the board is held steady for optical or electrical checks. In adjacent sectors such as packaging machinery, the gripper’s small footprint and quick response time enable it to handle individual blister packs or sachets on high-throughput filling lines without slowing the conveyor.
