Possible Applications
In the hydraulic stamping presses that shape vehicle body panels, the digital pressure switch watches the cylinder pressure and signals the controller when the target level is reached. By feeding a precise pressure status to the plant PLC, it synchronizes the opening of the main valve, the start of the ram movement, and the activation of safety interlocks. This prevents the press from operating under insufficient or excessive pressure, protecting expensive dies and maintaining dimensional tolerances of the stamped sheet metal. The same device is frequently installed on pneumatic paint‑spray stations, where it keeps the air feed to the spray gun within the narrow band required for uniform atomisation, allowing the line to adjust flow without manual intervention. In both cases the switch acts as the eyes of the automation system, converting a physical pressure value into a reliable digital signal that can be logged, alarmed, or used to trigger downstream actions. The result is a production line that can automatically pause, alert operators, or switch to a backup press when pressure deviates, keeping throughput stable.
