Possible Applications
When a boiler in a power‑generation facility must shut off steam supply within seconds to protect downstream turbines, the solenoid valve is installed directly on the steam line. The valve’s electrically driven coil provides a rapid, repeatable opening and closing action that can be triggered by a programmable logic controller or an emergency‑stop circuit. In a typical plant, the device regulates the flow of water, oil or compressed air to balance pressure, start or stop auxiliary equipment, and to isolate sections for maintenance without exposing personnel to live piping. Because the valve can be positioned close to pumps, heat exchangers or cooling towers, it reduces the length of hydraulic lines and limits the risk of leaks. A secondary example is its use in water‑treatment plants where it doses chemicals precisely by opening only when a sensor confirms the required concentration. In a petrochemical refinery the valve isolates a reactor feed line during an emergency shutdown, allowing operators to restart the line without manual intervention.
