Possible Applications
The press ram descends at 120 strokes per minute, its hardened steel punch meeting the die with a sharp metallic impact. Between each stroke, the sensor mounted on the side of the tooling block must detect the exact position of the strip—whether it has advanced, jammed, or shifted. That sensor’s signal travels through a right-angle connector, tucked into the tight corner where the tooling block meets the press frame. Without this small but precise link, the signal would have to loop around the machine’s structure, risking interference from the high-current drives or physical damage from moving parts. Instead, the connector routes the signal cleanly into the control cabinet, where the press’s PLC decides in milliseconds whether to continue the cycle or trigger an emergency stop. In high-speed stamping lines, where a single misfeed can scrap an entire coil, this direct connection ensures the sensor’s data arrives intact, every time. The same part appears in progressive dies where multiple stations operate in sequence, each requiring its own position feedback—all channeled through these angled connectors to keep wiring compact and protected.
