Possible Applications
In high-volume vehicle assembly lines, precise and repeatable positioning of car bodies is critical before welding, sealing, or robotic inspection. A misaligned body panel or chassis frame can disrupt automated tooling, leading to costly rework or production stoppages. The clamping bracket plays its role here: mounted on fixture towers or robotic arms, it secures the body shell in the exact three-dimensional reference position required by downstream processes. Its design allows quick engagement and release, so the line can cycle every 60–90 seconds without sacrificing repeatability. On a typical body-in-white line, these brackets are paired with locating pins and hydraulic clamps; together they form the temporary but rigid interface between the moving conveyor and the stationary welding robots. Once the welds are complete, the bracket retracts, the conveyor advances, and the next body shell takes its place—enabling continuous, error-free assembly of thousands of vehicles per shift.
