Possible Applications
On the final assembly line of a car plant, paint mist hangs in the air and solvent vapors rise from freshly coated body panels. Here, the valve sits inside the booth’s air-handling ductwork, precisely metering the flow of conditioned air to maintain a slight negative pressure. This controlled draft pulls overspray away from the robots and operators, preventing dust from settling on wet paint while keeping solvent concentrations below safety limits. When the line switches from primer to clear-coat, the valve adjusts in real time, matching airflow to the new viscosity and evaporation rate so that the booth’s filters and scrubbers can capture the finer particles without clogging. The same valve is also used in the adjacent flash-off tunnel, where it balances air velocity to ensure even drying without disturbing the still-tacky surface. In both zones, its role is silent but critical: keeping the air moving at exactly the right speed and direction so that every car leaves the line with a flawless finish.
