The possibility of conceiving virtual warehouses in common between more companies, also competitors, that nevertheless manage common materials, products or elements of sale or purchase, so that there is savings in supplies, obtaining economies of scale in purchases, simplifying administrative management and improving the level of service to customers, obtaining in relatively short times, less than three years, the return on investments. This possibility has been made a reality by UNITEC, an Italian company present in Germany, with a center in Gersthofen and in Italy, with a center in Sabaudia.
This company has developed a management software, called Virtual Logistic Platform, equipped with particular mathematical algorithms, which can manage common purchases and sales between more companies, control accounting operations, execute operations related to trained documents and supply the supplies of such a warehouse.
The management software developed by UNITEC, in fact, provides to manage and maintain uniquely modernized the various warehouse and withdrawal operations, with invoices controlled and paid, while the client company receives a single invoice for all this each month.
This results in a series of advantages, among which the elimination of reorders, the maintenance of storage according to the effective needs of each individual company, punctuality in supply, reduction or elimination of controls in individual accounting operations.
Regarding purchases, with this system the possibility of carrying out cumulative operations becomes effective, with the effect of obtaining better purchasing conditions. Furthermore, in case of urgency and need, material compensation can be carried out between several clients, making supplies initially intended for another client available to the person who made a request. This type of operation also makes it possible to reduce supplies in such a way, obtaining a subsequent economic benefit.
