An interbusiness virtual warehouse

The possibility of conceiving virtual warehouses in common between multiple companies, even competitors, who nevertheless manage common materials, products or sales or purchase elements, in order to allow savings on supplies, obtain economies of scale in purchases, simplify administrative management and improve the level of service to customers, realizing the return on investments in a relatively short time, less than three years. This possibility was made real by UNITEC, an Italian company present in Germany, with headquarters in Gersthofen and in Italy, with headquarters in Sabaudia.
This company has developed a management software, called Virtual Logistic Platform, equipped with particular mathematical algorithms, which can manage joint purchases and sales between multiple companies, control accounting operations, perform the related operations on related documents and provide supplies for such a warehouse.
The management software developed by UNITEC allows the various warehouse operations and money withdrawals to be managed and kept separate, with bills checked and invoices paid, while the client company receives only one invoice per month for all this.
This entails a series of advantages, including the elimination of reorders, the maintenance of stocks according to the actual needs of each individual company, the punctuality of supply, the reduction or elimination of controls on individual accounting operations.
As regards purchases, with this system the possibility of carrying out cumulative operations becomes effective, with the effect of obtaining better purchasing conditions. Furthermore, in cases of urgency and necessity, compensations of material between various customers can be carried out, making supplies initially intended for another customer available to those who requested them. This type of operation also allows supplies to be reduced in such a way as to obtain a further economic benefit.
