The graphic appearance and its functions have been taken care of down to the smallest detail to allow quick and above all intuitive consultation. This is a fundamental factor, as the speed of execution, control and, above all, the reduction of the incidence of human errors depend on this.
This instrument allows efficient, safe and extraordinarily fast management of all tasks. In 90% of cases the request-offer-issuance of orders takes place within a few hours within a day.

Internet-Based Solutions
The understanding and development of Internet-based technologies is one of the primary objectives of Unitec's research activity. Precisely thanks to the technical knowledge acquired in this field, Unitec Services & Web was born, a limited liability company created with the aim of developing new management instruments based on Internet technologies and integrating them into the high-tech service offering that Unitec proposes to its clients, aiming to optimize costs.
Unitec, in collaboration with Unitec Services & Web (https://usw.unitec.it), has developed a series of Internet-based solutions dedicated to purchasing departments and connected agencies, for Internet-based industrial supplies and warehouse management.
The objective is to face and solve a wide range of problems of purchasing agencies, in order to achieve the optimization of procedures through the following steps:
- Reduction in management costs (fax, telephone, working hours and communications);
- Consolidation and reduction of paper documentation;
- Improved registration and availability of documents and information;
- Conversion of communication mode from synchronous (telephone) to asynchronous (email);
- Drastic improvement and reduction in monitoring;
- Independence of workplaces from their physical location;
- Homogeneity and shareability of information;
Several applications were developed for the following activities: Purchasing, Supplies, Warehouse, Tracking and Reporting.
The application dedicated to the Purchasing Department allows you to interrogate in real time a database containing 31,258 articles from 2,224 different suppliers (constantly updated), with relative multilingual description, and issue supply requests in real time from anywhere in the world, at any time and in any language.
If the article or supplier is not present in the database, it is still possible to send the request through a dedicated procedure.
The possibility of issuing requests via the Internet makes it possible to drastically replace traditional management methods such as paper, fax and telephone, reducing supply costs.
Additional savings are obtained by consolidating requests, that is, having the possibility of ordering multiple items with a single procedure from several suppliers.
This contributes to achieving cost optimization thanks to the dramatic reduction in the production of paper documents such as faxes and other communications.
The workplace is available anywhere and in a personalized way, therefore regardless of the physical location in which it is located.
Even if a specific workplace is unavailable, the continuity and usability of the service and, above all, the integrity of the data are not compromised. These aspects are fundamental assumptions for the introduction of teleworking.
It is possible to issue supply requests and/or supplies via the Internet in an absolutely innovative, simple and intuitive way. It's like using a shopping cart!
A few moments are enough to search and find the supplier of interest and select the related items to order.
The chosen articles will then be inserted into a list that can be viewed, have their quantities modified, or be canceled at any time.
It is not necessary to issue the request immediately. In fact, if the request is not sent, the list will not be canceled and will remain available for other work sessions… also on different days or from other work locations.
As for supplies, the request works as for purchases, but based on data provided by the customer. Delegated agencies such as maintenance or warehouse can send requests for replenishment of frequently reordered items.
The purchasing department therefore receives, if necessary, communication of requests sent by agencies directly to the supplier.
All customers can, depending on their own needs and level of qualification, stay updated in real time and track ongoing procedures, in other words:
- Requests issued;
- Request preparation status;
- Offers directory;
- Delivery times;
- Orders issued;
- Shippings;
- Transport documents;
- Billing;
Great attention and care was devoted to the reports. Thanks to this application, all customers, depending on their level of qualification, can receive daily, weekly or monthly reports on ongoing procedures. Reports can be static or dynamic and therefore updated in real time. All these operations are always accessible at any time from anywhere, regardless of the workplace and therefore also during meetings, conferences and travel.
The type of report is customizable depending on information needs and can be in graphic or tabular format. It is possible, depending on the available data, to produce operational, functional and organizational statistics.
Virtual Warehouse
An additional and revolutionary innovation consists of the introduction of the VIRTUAL WAREHOUSE: this concept consists of the possibility for several plants of an industrial group, or belonging to several industrial groups, to share a single virtual warehouse based on real stocks.
These stocks are physically subdivided among several plan participants, but are logistically shareable by everyone.
In this way, there is the knowledge of having greater supply emergency, at the same time allowing the reduction of individual stocks below the historical minimum point of business.
